Prof. Bonder is Director of the Gender, Society and Policies Department at the Latin American Postgraduate Institute of Social Sciences (FLACSO), Coordinator of the UNESCO Regional Chair on Women, Science and Technology in Latin America; the E-learning Master’s Program on Gender, Society and Public Policies (PRIGEPP); the Global Network of UNESCO Chairs on Gender and the LAC focal point of GenderInSITE, a multistakeholder global initiative.
She was distinguished by UNESCO as one of the 60 women worldwide who has helped accomplish the organisation’s goals throughout the 60 years of its existence, representing the voices, aspirations, and visions of many women around the world.
In a wide-ranging conversation, we look at Prof. Bonder’s motivations and her time working in Argentina to promote women’s rights in the 70’s.
