How this programme works:

We meet online or on the phone, weekly, for an hour at a time.

We’ll go through exercises to unlock what’s going on, discover what you truly want, and then, do the work to help you get there.

You’ll have unlimited email access to me for the duration of the 8 weeks. Because it’s hard work when you’re trying to change, I am available to you during the working week and through emergencies, should they arise.

What does ACT look like in action:

The model is based on developing psychological flexibility by training you in six key areas.

They are:

  • Acceptance - Allowing thoughts and emotions to come and go without struggling with them.

  • Cognitive defusion - learning ways to put distance between you and your thoughts so they no longer act a barrier to what you want.

  • Mindfulness - how to be aware of the here and now and to be open and curious about your experience.

  • Observing the self - Developing a transcendental sense of self so you can step back from your unhelpful stories you tell yourself.

  • Values - Defining values with clarity and identify what you stand for and what truly matters to you.

  • Committed action - Defining goals according to your values and help you commit to taking action even when action is difficult.

We work with your current mindset and approach to your life and work and decide what isn’t helping you work toward your goals, then we unblock your unhelpful emotions and thoughts, so that you can take action, without fear, doubt, guilt, shame or confusion.

I’m Gary Bridgeman and I have 25 years professional experience in project management, engineering, and the Royal Air Force.

I've lived across Europe and in the Middle East.

I'm a parent to a wonderfully intelligent daughter and a step-father to a loving, caring step-son.

On the surface it seems that I lived a life that was rich, fulfilling and fun.

Despite that I've always felt lost, empty and unfulfilled.

Mindfulness, meditation and ACT have changed my life.
