I’m a life and career coach that supports women to improve themselves and their lives by becoming more authentic through value-based living. I focus on supporting professional women working in science, technology, engineering, arts and maths.
When my clients come to me some are struggling and stuck in life. They feel overwhelmed, lost and lacking in direction. And others are looking to improve in one particular area, gain a promotion, communicate better or simply improve overall performance. All of them want to step-up in their careers, build better relationships, change course, communicate with ease, and to be inspired and motivated by life again.
The answers to these problems are never outside of you. The real answer to getting what you want from life is to remove your roadblocks to being authentic.
What is authenticity?
Authenticity in our life and relationships is something we all strive for. Becoming who we are is a lifelong quest that will never end. But we all seek to find a version of ourselves living life true to our ideals and our values.
Authentic people have no layers of artifice, no trying to be someone else, they are honest and open in their communication and behaviour. When I am coaching you I am trying to find out who you really are and then reflecting that back to you. So you can hear yourself speak to you. So you can hear your thoughts and your beliefs, challenge and then change them.
“You can only become truly accomplished at something you love. Don’t make money your goal. Instead, pursue the things you love doing, and then do them so well that people can’t take their eyes off you.” —Maya Angelou”
My coaching model is called Acceptance and Commitment Training. It uses the latest evidence-based coaching and cognitive behavioural research. The model looks at your relationship with your thoughts, emotions and actions. The approach helps you to put distance between you and your unhelpful thoughts and behaviours helping you to live more authentically and true to your values.
I find that one of the major problems my clients face is being able to change themselves and then communicate with those around them as they live more authentically. So I blend ACT with my own life experience of managing and leading others and my experience of communicating across cultures.
You’ll find that my style is one of acceptance, non-judgement, honesty and compassion. I only ever work with a maximum of four people at any one time so I can focus on supporting you when you need me too. I make myself available to my clients seven days a week as you’ll never know when a challenging situation will need someone you can trust to talk it through with you.
If you want to work with me the first step is booking a free session to discover who you want to be. On this session, we will discuss where you are now and where do you want to go. If I believe I am the best person to work with you I’ll invite you to a one-to-one tailored programme. If not I’ll let you know and offer suggestions on other people who may be a better fit for your needs.
Coaching is not a regulated industry and there are many different self-regulating coaching associations. I choose to be aligned with the European Coaching and Mentoring Council and I follow their code of ethics. I also have supervision from a clinical psychologist where I discuss my client work and my own personal development.
